. . . or perhaps just outside my sketchbook is more accurate, because I have been having so much fun with these printable mandalas. This one I really pondered on, I almost did this one in colour. I thought it was heading in a nautical direction so the royal blues and navy Prismacolor pencils were calling me but before I knew it, it was shaded and then it just seemed right to keep it black and white. Maybe the next one will be in colour?
I found another really cool drawing prompt (not sure exactly what to call these?) on Carla Sonhiem's website. She calls them monthly sidewalk cracks. And yes it's a printable photo of a sidewalk full of cracks! The intention is to draw what you see in the cracks. I know, being the artsy types that we are, that we have all seen Tangles in architecture, bunnies floating in the clouds and odd looking animals on the cracked sidewalk so I thought I should share this with you. I was also thinking that tangling a sidewalk crack printable would be fun too!?! Hmmmmm . . . .
So this drawing is from the Feb2016Crack and I spotted a dog . . . wrapped up in quilt . . . on a very hot day . . . so he is a 'hot dog'.
Have a great weekend!
