and then never try the technique?
* Do you enjoy challenging your drawing skills and venturing beyond your comfort level?
* Do you long for a place where you can meet other artists, on your own time for inspiration and encouragement, yet without the commitment of taking a class?
If so, then I invite you to join me every Monday
for the
Zentangle Weekly Challenge!
for the
Zentangle Weekly Challenge!
* * *
I too, find many inspiring Drawings, Doodles and Zentangles on Pinterest and then fail to try them, so I have decided to organize a weekly challenge so that we can all try these techniques together!
My intention for this weekly challenge is for it be like taking a free drawing class - a casual place to meet other artists, see each others drawings and learn new tips and techniques along the way.
It's all fine to Pin the ideas,
but eventually you have to put pen to paper!
ha ha!
ha ha!
- choose a technique or style of drawing
- include some examples and guidelines for the challenge.
Throughout the week:
- return to the post to Link Up and share your artwork!
Note: if you don't feel comfortable sharing your drawings then please let us know you are here by commenting

Please only share photos, posts or Pins that you have done yourself and match the week's challenge.
Every week I will have a new challenge so you will have plenty of opportunities to share your art!

Leave a comment about your drawing or to ask a question. Offering support to your fellow artists is cool too!
I hope to see you next Monday!

ReplyDeleteGlad to be creating along with you again.
Cris (former Playful Learning Spaces classmates. Was it 2011? Wow! Time flies)
Hello again Cris!
DeleteWow has it been that long? I'm currently taking Mariah's The Art of Parenting course, it's fantastic!
I'm looking forward to connecting (and reconnecting!) with people from all over the world with this weekly challenge!
"See" you Monday!
We're going to join in at my house too! I got my girls sketchbooks so we could start drawing every evening after supper…this will be a great place to start!! xo maureen
ReplyDeleteHi Maureen!
DeleteSo glad you and the girls are going to join in! There's been lots of interest so I think it will be a great group! We'll begin with a "warm up" challenge with just a couple of simple guidelines to get everyone started and then I have some really fun ideas that will suit the beginners as well as the experienced tanglers!
I have been admiring all of your and Shanti's rainbow crafts lately and your CBC Parents posts too!
Have a wonderful day!

This will be my first challenge, I am just picking up my pen/pencil after a looong break. I'm in. Hopefully it will be good enough to post.
ReplyDeleteWay to go Toni! I too hadn't drawn in years when I started up again. Don't worry it's like riding a bike, you don't forget... honest!
DeleteAnd please don't hide your artwork! If there is something specific that you are not happy with about your drawing use it as an opportunity to ask for some suggestions or new techniques. We can all learn from each other no matter what our abilities are.
Will this challenge be called Joey's Weekly Challenge so it does not get 'tangled' with the Diva's Weekly Challenge? Interesting concept, Joey.
