First day of Spring

 

We decided that a good way to Welcome the Vernal Equinox was by restocking all of the feeders for our garden friends!

 suet cakes
 



wild bird seed

hummingbird food

and nuts for the squirrel

How did you celebrate the first day of Spring?

    Great idea. I've been thinking we need to clean out and relocate our bird feeder this year. Your photo of the hummingbird feeder made me a bit sad though. We lost a wonderful bush to the ice this year that had hummingbirds outside of our dining room window at every single meal in the summer and fall. I'm so hoping it comes back, but it isn't looking good. Maybe we need a feeder out there in the meantime...

      That is so sad that you may lose the bush that brought the hummingbirds to your yard, I'm sure they will return to a feeder if you put one up. Watching the birds is a favourite family past time in our home!
