happy valentine's day

A found this cute pattern in a Geronimo Stilton book!

This year...

  

~ there were hours spent making creative cards

 for classmates, teachers and others(!)

~ there was last minute cookie baking

to be shared with school friends

~ we made these really sweet homemade stamps.  Perfect for addressing Valentine envelopes!

We used white Avery labels cut with fancy edged scissors and coloured with watercolour pencils.

 ~ we were really happy to finally find sheets of beeswax locally to roll candles.

This is an excellent project for children who are too young to dip candles on the stove.  Make sure the wax is at least room temperature so that it's pliable enough to roll without cracking.  The best part is the wonderful smell of honey as you are working!
