I have really been enjoying using less this season.
The few decorations that I have used are made from simple natural supplies: fallen branches, a few rosehips here and there, the children's wood toys, nuts, pinecones, and of course beeswax!
It even feels cozier than in past years and I feel more connected to the season. Paying particular attention to how Mother Earth is changing right now I have discovered the beauty of wild plants that I have never appreciated before.

I suppose you could say that I have been more "in the moment" lately,
I'm trying very hard not to get scooped up in the hustle and bustle
that this time of year can bring.
A visit from Sinterklaas last night blessed us with some
good Christmas reading to cozy up with!
Wishing you and your family a wonderful holiday season!

I adore the naturalness of your seasonal decorations. Happy Holiday Season.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Joey!
ReplyDeletesimplicity always seems to bring more beauty in my home.
ReplyDeleteI forgot about st. Nicholas day. Dang.
Hello there, Joey...We also celebrate this festival, with similar Dutch wooden clogs. It is fairly new to us, despite my husband's Dutch background. I'm trying to bring in more of his Dutch and my Norwegian backgrounds to connect us to our ancestors. I am also very happy with simplifying and bringing more meaning to all the celebrations. Your home does look cozy! Happy weekend to you, my friend!
