Tucked in a corner of a 9 acre garden located on a 103 acre conservation area my daughter spent her afternoons last week at an art camp that she'll probably never forget! Camp was new to us, we've always preferred to live our summer days with no set schedules or commitments. But this year we decided to enroll A in a day camp that focused on both Art and Movement, took place at a beautiful outdoor location and was put on by such a lovely lady we knew immediately that it would be the perfect fit for A. We were so right!
Here are some photos of the beautiful gardens that the children were able to explore...
:: pond at the main entrance :: |
:: quiet spots are found all throughout the grounds :: |
:: one of a few composting areas :: |
:: mason bee homes to encourage pollination :: |
:: small orchard :: |
:: pathways that lead to secret spaces :: |
:: vegetable gardens :: |
And a rainbow of colours!!!
I'm loving all of the textures too!
They made popsicles with edible flowers and herbs that they picked in the garden, explored a swamp, an orchard and the themed gardens, played games, bounced on balls, painted pictures with new techniques, performed a random act of kindness, and ran through a sprinkler!....
...next year I am so lying about my age so that I can play too! ;o)
Have you been to any beautiful spaces lately?
