We started our summer holiday with a quick trip to a very cool little island
and it was just the thing to kick start my creativity.
I thought I would share a few photos first . . .
cute little passenger ferry to the island
live sand dollars on the beach (underwater)
really cool rocks
tidal pools
a variety of rocky and sandy beaches
forest trails
I find the best way to recharge my creativity is to get out into nature.
(especially the beach!)
* * *
I started today by completing my challenges #118, #119 and #120.
And btw, I am loving the round tiles with the brown, black and white "Renaissancy" effect!
For this series of challenges I am using black and brown Micron pens, HB pencil, terracotta and white Prismacolor pencils and white Gelly Roll pen.
tangles: Maryhill and Tipple
tangles: Gnarly and Aura-Leah
tangle: Girdy
And now something totally different . . .
If you are not familiar with Carla Sonhiem's work you must visit her website!
Every month she posts a sidewalk crack photo for us to find hidden images in. I found several in this one and their odd shaped heads did "crack me up!"
Lots of fun and it's good to try something different from time to time.
I also signed my kids up for her free (online) Kids Art Week class so I thought I would pass the info onto you if you have a child that might be interested as well.
Hope your summer is off to a creative start!
