W2 monotangle

I mentioned that W2 was one of the first tangles I learned, however, even though I love the basket weave effect it creates, it isn't one that I use very often.  I kinda felt like I was starting from scratch with this challenge.  I'll admit it's not the easiest tangle to use as a monotangle so I tried it in String #175.  The overlap didn't really give the neat effect I was hoping for.  And I think when I'm not feeling sure about my abilities I turn to the "squiggly line" effect to make it more whimsical.  Another learning experience . . .

  2. I like the squiggly line effect :) reminds me of my own scribble effect,, when I want something to go organic. It's a sweet tile. Quite "country"...like a picnic blanket.

  3. Nice one! I almost picked the same string, but ended up with using string 160 ;-)

  4. Gosh, this is the 2nd one with a squiggly line. Have never thought of doing that but it's so effective you all are giving me ideas! Really like this.

  5. You picked a great string for this. The diagonal white spaces contrast with the horizontal / vertical movement of W2. It wasn't an easy monotangle, but you nailed it!
