I recently came across a really fun way for the kids to keep up with their writing, spelling, grammar, etc. over the summer. We are participating in
The coordinator - Rebecca at thirteen red shoes has organized families from all over the world to send each other postcards. How cool is that?
My kids love checking our mailbox to see if we have received any mail for them, and this is a great way for them to learn about other countries (we will find our postcard buddies on the map), learn the proper way to address different kinds of letters, see different stamps, etc. So many fun learning opportunities can come from this project so we had to sign up right away!

It was also a perfect opportunity to buy some cool postcards from around town and set up the writing supplies! ;o)
If you would like to join in the fun contact Rebecca and she'll get you started.
Happy learning!
