spring cross stitch

Last Autumn the kids and I began a cross stitch pencil case project.  You can read about it here and here.  I stitched an Autumn tree on one side and pondered what to do on the opposite side for quite some time.  In the end I decided to stitch the same tree but how it would look in the Spring.  I thought it would be best if I waited until Spring so that I was in the right frame of mind to finish the project.

Today I'm going to start on the Spring tree!
Part of me can't believe that Spring is already here, but I am so glad that I waited.  I am really looking forward to having a new "lap project".

What I would really love is to have some company
throughout this project.
Many of you commented that "one day"
you'd like to try cross stitch.... so how about it?
Would anyone like to join me?

It doesn't have to be a big project,  it can be anything from an ornament, bookmark or a small design to later sew onto a pocket of a little dress or bag?  You can visit my Pinterest board for more cross stitch and embroidery inspiration.
I will be here to answer any questions and provide all of the encouragement you need.
Maybe you and your child(ren) would like to try together?

I'm sure we'll have a lot of fun...

  3. Cute! Weirdly, I've never done much cross stitch, but I do like other counted stitch embroideries. One person just can't make time for everything!
