I have been browsing through my various collections of autumn project ideas lately looking for new creative ideas and inspiration. A few projects have really sparked my creative interest so over the next couple of weeks I will be sharing them here with you!
(here's hoping they all work out!)
First on the list is:
Wee Folk Art's tutorial for mini pumpkins.
I call myself a novice sewer so my wee little pumpkin's stitches are by no means perfect (the ladies at Wee Folk Art have the most perfect stitching!) but I'm excited to make more of these little cuties to decorate the kids room or any other little space that needs an autumn touch!
They are a quick project (I made both in an hour) and don't require a lot of materials. (just a circle of fabric, floss and stuffing) They are a great way of using up your (or your mother's) scraps of autumn fabrics that you (or your mother) couldn't bear to part with. Thanks Mom ;o) I found that the felt leaves are what really makes this craft come together as they hide all the untidy parts and made mine actually look like pumpkins!

I'm also very pleased to mention that I have been included on a very inspiring blog that many of you frequent I'm sure . . . the Crafty Crow! This morning our bead heads have been included in the crafty goodness there!
Have a great day!
The pumpkins are so cute :)
ReplyDeleteI love the pumpkins - going to try them with my kiddos! Thanks for the idea.
