simple little bits of christmas

::  blanket stitched heart stuffed with wool  ::

For the past month or so I felt as though I had lost my "crafting mojo"!
My creative spark was barely flickering.
I wanted to start Christmas crafting . . . but I just wasn't quite ready yet!

Well, the other night I managed to rekindle that fire and wanted to share a few simple little bits of Christmas.  I like to keep things simple so each year I add a few handmade things to our decorations.

::  drying rosehips strung onto a wire shaped into a heart  ::
::  popsicle stick snowflakes, great to make with the kids  ::
::  little zip bag  ::
::  so quick and easy to make for gifts, excellent tutorial here  ::
My daughter tried her hand at needlefelting on a flat surface the other day so we framed her first picture!

Are you feeling the Christmas Season yet?
Have you started any Christmas crafting or gift making?!
Please leave a link to share your projects, plans or inspirations!

  1. O My goodness i love your projects! I would say your holiday crafty mojo has definitely returned!

The little heart grabbed me immediately given my soft spot of hearts! I love how simple this is. And the rose hips! I love rose hops - never thought of using them as a decoration! Beautiful!

Now - about the pop sticks - please share with me what you used to create the edge design. I have some lovely mushroom basket wood that was sent to me from Denmark and I could so see this treatment on the edges of the snowflakes.

Thank you for the coin purse link. I have been agonizing over what to make for three young ladies that just recently joined the family. these would be so perfect! Thank you for saving my bacon!

  2. Hi Pam!
    Thanks for your kind comments!
I'm sorry to say that the popsicle sticks came already cut from the craft store! Perhaps a router could reproduce a similar look?
The zip bags are super easy I can whip one up in about 15 mins so they make a perfect gift. My teenage sister-in-law tells me they fit an ipod perfectly!
Oh and I love your straw ornaments! I LOVE red, white and natural Scandinavian/European decorations!
Enjoy the rest of your decorating!
    xoxo
